General cargo transportation
General cargo transportation is a method of shipping goods that do not require specialized containers or vessels for transport. Transportation of non-standard cargoes
When transporting a consolidated cargo, you don’t need to worry about returning the container after its delivery. Since along with your cargo the goods of other shippers are transported in the container, the return of the container becomes a problem of the container line. LCL senders only have to worry about the cargo to be transported, and nothing else.
Hazardous goods (falling under the IMO classification and having a UN number – such as flammables, combustibles, explosives, radioactives, etc.) cannot be transported as consolidated cargo.
